Cannot paste adsense code into correct place on googlesite website. ??

The instructions say paste between BODY and /BODY in the html code, but when i use the html editor on my googlesite i cannot find these amongst my code. I've even searched for the correct words and still nothing. What am i doing wrong? You would think that because they are both Google sites, that it would be straightforward!
There is no word BODY in the code. There appears to be alot of DIV's. Im using edit html on the googlesites.Please, only answer if you are familiar with googlesites.

You won't see the body tags, just paste it into the text area (div tags) you want it in.
