Do you think Asian (Muslim) girls get corrupt when they?
leave home - to go to university?
Basically, I met a few Hijaabi girls in a cafe last year, they were first year students at Leeds university. Very shy, modest, I tried making conversation with them, but they weren't having any of it. One of them said, "if you're trying to chat us up, don't bother, we're Muslim, blah" .. she also said I should know better not to randomly talk to girls, as I was Muslim (wearing a mosque hat at the time)..
Anyway, today I saw 2 of them, and not surprisingly the Hijaab was gone, they were openly talking/flirting with 'random guys' at the sandwich bar. I walked up to them and said "aren't you the girls from the cafe?"... And they were like "Oh it's you, we remember you,?"... They had changed so much, the noor had gone from their face, they were loud, flirtatious, and at the end of it all, indirectly invited me to come to their apartment, as I made a joke about food not being nice in this place. so one of them suggested I should cook for them.
So what are your views on girls leaving home to go unversity. Islamically, it's not advisable, for women to travel, or go anywhere without a mehram. Islam does not even allow women to go to Hajj/Umrah on their own, so can girls go away to study be justified?
Feathers - I'm not judging girls. I merely asked a question. and for the record, I wasn't chatting them up, just making conversation.
Sadly, I think most Asian girls are sadly repressed at home, they have restrictions, so when they go away from home. They just take all that freedom, for granted, take liberties.
