Default Fellow English cricket fans, do you think any scottish players could get

into the English squad? I rate Fraser Watts, Gavin Hamilton, Ryan Watson, John Blain and Colin Smith. I think they'd have a chance.
Gavin Hamilton got a pair on a dodgey batting pitch facing a fired up Allan Donald bowling at 90mph!

Your kidding hopefully!

None of the players you listed are even good enough to be playing County Cricket. Not one of them is playing County Cricket.

Gavin Hamilton would be the player with the biggest (slim) chance after playing a few ODI's for England in the late 90's, but he wasnt good enough to hold his place in the ODI team and he wasnt good enough to hold a place for his county side. Add the fact that he's in his late 30's and there is no chance he would be good enough.

No Scotland player is good enough to play for England, if they were they wouldnt be playing for Scotland, they would be trying to qualify to play for England

No, probably not. They would be playing for England already if they were good enough (and as others have already said, Hamilton has already played some ODI's for England but he was pretty useless). And besides we have separate cricket teams so there is no need for them to play for England if they're doing a good enough job for their own country. It wouldn't be right if we nicked all of your decent players as you wouldn't be able to progress your own national game in any way.

No, I don't think that any of the current squad members are good enough to make the grade, between them they have the odd flash of good form, but there is no consistency in the side.

Gavin Hamilton has already played for England. He got a pair, and went at four an over. He was quite possibly the worst player to turn out for England in the past quarter of a century ( and there have been some shokers during that time period).

But if Scotalnd have a good wicketkeeper/batsman he could certainly stake a claim.
