Im 17 years old and have been with my girlfriend for 8months now. my mum doesnt like her and refuses to accept this and allow it, she continuously tries to break us up by not allowing me to see her and by taking me places where i cannot be with her. i have to lie to her and say im going to a friends how to even see my girlfriend. my girlfriend is off to uni after the summer while i finish up my last year of high school. we plan on staying together but its becoming increasingly more difficult with my mum and her rules. PLEASE HELP !!!!

try asking your mom if it's ok to do a group date. even invite her over for dinner so your mom can REALLY meet her, it could be just that she thinks that your girlfriend will take you away from her and isn't ready to let go yet.

if that doesn't work maybe try telling telling her you feel she is trying to break you two up and would really like it if she would just accept your decision to date her and you really like this girl (don't say love in front of her she sounds like the person to believe that you wouldn't even know what love is let alone feel it)

ur gonna be 18 soon, so u'll be an adult.
besides, in college, ur _away_ from home. and i doubt ur mum will go to college with u.

wow either your mom is really weird/strict, or maybe your gf isn't that good for you and your mom knows it. Is your mom like this a lot? If so then perhaps you can brush off her feelings...
But since you want to stay with your gf, I think you should just hang out with your gf and not tell your mom so that way shes not mad. Do you have a car or a job? I know lying to parents sucks, but if your mom is being really unreasonable just tell her that no matter what she says you are going to see her because she makes you happy. Is your gf a risk to your health or something? A drug user?? I have no clue why a mother would be so strange over this?
