i really like this guy and when we first met at the start he shook my hand, and at the end he said its been fun, good to meet you, take care. we kept smiling and looking at each other all evening. was he just being polite and nervous, or do you think he wont be in contact for date 2?

well honestly NOO guy acts like that for real..so im thinking it was he was vary nervous..polite NO(why. give him the chance and he would be all over u) NOW dont confuse polite with nice.a guy can be nice and not polite.....short answer he was nervous

By the sounds of it, I wouldnt be holding my breath. The statements "good to meet you" and "take care" do not sound positive, but rather like closure. With no reference to a follow up encounter throughout the date, and an ending like that, it is not likely he will call again.
If is he incredibly shy or socially awkward, it is possible, it came out wrong at the end of the date, but not very likely.

Hmmm. That sounds really weird. A guy takes you out on a date and shakes your hand? And at the end of the date he says 'see ya'!!! Not a good thing, I'm sure. He's either a wuss or not interested in you.

its hard to say-guys are often hard to read that way. i know girls that went out with guys, the date was wonderful, they had a great time, the guy said he'd call, and then he never did. so dont hold your breath waiting for him to call-keep doing things and dont wait by the phone.that way if he calls you it will be a pleasant surprise, and if he doesn't, you haven't been sitting there waiting for nothing. hope all goes well for you.

After the date ended he didnt give you a hug or said see you next time..maybe he was shy or maybe he thought that you were nice but he doesn't think a second date is a good idea.

maybe he just saw it as two friends going out together rather than a date. i was in a similar situation before and the guy never really made any effort to meet me again. see how it goes but my advice is do not chase him let him come to u then u will know if he is interested.

It sounds like he was kind of nervous, though at the end he didn't say "we should meet up again" or "can't wait to see you again," but being nervous often makes us lose our heads. I think you just need to wait it out, see if he calls, if he doesn't, move on, there are plenty of fish in the sea.
