Unblock tesco mobile in order to insert o2 sim ?

I am not too clever with mobile phones...
I am presently on contract with O2 and my phone has completely broken.
I have an LG phone on tesco payg tariff and was hoping just to put O2 sim in and awway you go. But ....message comes up on LG phone place correct SIM.
Is there a simple way around this in oder for me to use my o2 contract sim on the LG phone ?
