I am going to buy my daughter who is 6 years old a nintendo ds for a long haul flight, (10 hours) but am worried that the battery life wont last. Ive seen that you can purchase a mobile charger on amazon which is in the accessories pack. Does anyone know how these work as im not a gamer and don't know. Any tips welcome, thanks.

The batteries should last more than 10 hours even through heavy duty gaming. The average AA battery can last upto 12 hours of constant use, I think a nintendo DS uses 2, so in theoty the batteries should last 24 hours.

I can't understand how a mobile charger would work, especially on a plane, but the DS runs for ages before it needs charged. Having recently been on a long-haul flight to America with my 2 children, I wouldn't worry-she's not likely to spend the whole flight gaming, so the battery will last-ours did!
