Am I morally wrong to check mobile phone messages?

Once you are 3 or so months into a relationship and you've both agreed that its an exclusive relationship, is it wrong of me to want to check his phone to confirm he is truthful and not cheating? I guess I'm a natually suspicious person and I find myself wanting to do this all the time. Problem is I usually find they are cheats. So this makes me wonder... are most daters cheats and liars, or is it that most of us don't check therefore never find out?

Maybe it just gets the better of you so you have to have a look?!! but is there an inklin there that made you wanna check in the first place?! I wouldn't like to know my partner was checking my phone all the time even if i had nothing to hide, it'll make me think their paranoid n it'll drive a wedge between you, n it usually leads onto other stuff where you end up arguing!

You are not wrong to want to check his messages.
I find myself checking my girlfriends messages also.
Most of the girls I've dated were cheaters.
But if they're cheaters...then they were not right for you, am I not correct? Now of course, it was you who has made that decision...to pick the wrong people. Maybe they hide it at first, sometimes they don't.
Not all of them are cheaters and liars.
The right ones are just really hard to find.

You are wrong and it is indeed an invasion of privacy. I don't see how you can come to the conclusion that most daters are cheaters. Could be the people that you have dated are cheaters. My GF has an annoying habit of checking my phone for txt msg's, seeing who and what I'm texting someone and going thru my address book. Very annoying. That is an insecurity that she has that has nothing to to with me. When I'm not with her, I'm at work or with my children. That type of insecurity will break a relationship apart. Makes me think that she doesn't trust me and is accusing me of something that I have not done. Especially since I have very much earned her trust.
