How can i resize a video clip from my mobile phone?

My mother-in-law did a video clip on her mobile phone of my son and i want it on my phone!
Her phone is a sony ericsson and mine is a samsung, it has sent to my phone but when i try to play it, it says unsupported resolution... does anyone know what i can do because i really want it.

import her phones video into the computer resize it there then either connect your phone to the computer and recieve it, or email it to your phone
