free software to break up large video files (2 hrs +) into smaller files?

im looking for a mac compatible utility to break up a large video file (1.5GB) im importing into imovie into several smaller files in order to make them easier and more time effIcient to work with in imovie. Thanks.

not sure of any and cant be bothered to look for you to be honest but take a look at www.download.com im 99% ur get one there u can filter the free ones and mac compatible ones
