does anybody know a free antivirus download for my apple mac laptop?

i just bought a new apple mac and have been looking around for a free download for it but most are not compatible with macs, anyone got any ideas or help? thanks

well. my family only uses macs cause they're the best. and i just bought a new mac laptop and i asked the guy at the genius bar about viruses and he said that macs don't get viruses. he said that they don't understand them. it's like someone talking to you in a completely different language. although, i did hear there are hackers trying to make viruses for macs. but i don't know if that'll work. get the protection anyways. but it might be a bit pointless.

I have just down loaded a great free programe from www.iantivirus.com, there was an item in this months Mac Format mag. Ignore those that say there are no viruses for macs, I just bought mine a month ago and there were two trojan's on it.
