I cannot launch adobe elements 6 from the desktop icon.?

I've just bought adobe elements 6 for my computer, i've loaded it on but when i try to start it , it will not start.
I've uninstalled it three times and reinstalled it , but it will not work.
Its driving me mad. Please help.

that has happened with me several times sometimes the case is to go into your start menu => all programs => and then the program your looking for. this explanation is intended for Windows XP I'm pretty sure that Vista will be quite similar. if this doesn't work go to My Computer > C:\ drive > Program Files (there may be a warning that you will cause damage, no damage will occur if you don't delete anything or move anything around) the locate adobe photoshop elements, go into the folder and click on adobe photoshop elements (there may well be some other stuff in there as well) if you don't like what you see then exit my computer and the case may be that you have a pirated or faulty copy of adobe

this explanation was intended for XP but Vista is similar

the C:\Program Files option probably shouldn't be tried by people who aren't extremely computer Savvy
