Is BT yahoo anti virus any good?

I just had to re-load windows xp cos I had loads of probs. With help from you peeps and 10 points to follow my pc is just whizzing along. So should I download the free (norton/ symantec anti virus that comes with the BT /Yahoo package) . Or as it seems to disobey my requests about live update schedules, can/should I get something else? regards and thanx.

Ps As I said I reloaded windows, like a fresh life, but save any docs/ music first/ takes over an hour for us novices.
Ps My Norton is included with BT Broadband package with no top up fee ever, but ???

Norton is one of the biggest names in security, you'll always get some people who says it slows their PC or something or other, but millions buy it, so if it's free I'd go for it. I've got the free security that Virgin supplies and I've heard people run that down but it's been every bit as good as Macafee which I paid for, I'd go for it.
