Laptop computer!?

I'm thinking of buying a laptop. What's the best one i can get for £500 or less. I'll be doing spread sheets and database in college in September and I've been told i should take up card making in desktop. I'm on multiply and facebook but facebook is so slow even though i've had extra memory. I want something faster. I'll appreciate your honesty. Thankyou xxx

I have a laptop, work from home (accounting)

don't fall for the oh it doesn't have excel (for spreadsheets etc) ...Microsoft works is exactly the same....

tbh I find the laptop way better than a desktop (and I have msn bebo facebook picasa etc running just fine on it)

I use a Dell Vostro 1000. It can run Pinnacle Studio (Video Editing Suite) sufficiently so it would do everything you need. If you go with Vista make sure you select 2GB of memory though I would advise you to stick with XP, much less problems. Also, the base price is €290, thats a little over £200 I think. This does not include taxes and charges and more memory will be a little extra but it should only cost £350 shipped to your door(Very quick delivery).
