AMD versus INTEL?

what’s the difference between AMD processor and INTEL processors, I know the arcutecture of both chips is different but is one better than the other, or are both just better than each other at certain tasks, like is one better than the other at gaming, or internet browsing,is one better for a home computer or office computer, which runs hotter
