Visual Basic 2008 code?

im trying to make a program in visual basic 2008 but when i search on the internet for simple code (opening a document, redirecting URL's) it only has this for VB 6 wich doesnt work with 2008

anyone know of a site with code for VB 2008
or should i use VB 6?
