picture of a flower, No P/word!? I recently aquired a PC from a friend. But he had a user account with his name and password, as standard. However he does 'nt remember the password, so I can not make any changes to the PC because it asks for the 'hosts' confirmation! How can I override the password account?
You can TRY pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del on this welcome screen. It MAY show the classic logon screen, where you're gonna type Administrator, without any password. One in a million chances of working,only in XP, and maybe Vista, but not Home Premium of course. Use an OS CD, alternatively.
