Can be a 'greeter' or a floor-walker or a representative from a supplier for demonstrating products, giving out samples, etc.. When I was in retail, I saw an elderly heavyset woman fall backwards down an escalator. Thank God a floor-walker went to her immediately. She survived and used the elevators after that.
